FreeDMR Peer Server Dashboard - FreeDMR Network OZ-DMR Server Dashboard Monitor

Calculator and Self Service guide

Options Calculator

  1. Choose your hotspot type, talkgroups and other options in the calculator.
  2. A 16-character KEY is generated for you. Keep a copy: you will use the same key for Self Service. You can replace it with your own key. Changing other options does not regenerate it.
  3. Copy the OPTIONS line into your hotspot or repeater configuration. For MMDVMHost use its DMR network options; for DMRGateway use the relevant network's Options setting. Pi-Star/WPSD users can use the DMR Options field.
  4. Save the client configuration and reconnect to FreeDMR so the client sends its OPTIONS on login.

The calculator does not apply changes to the server or save your key in the browser. The complete OPTIONS value must fit 255 UTF-8 bytes, including KEY and separators. Overlong output cannot be copied with the Copy button; remove some options instead. Never truncate the line. A later OPTIONS line must include the same key for the active session.

Self Service

Open Self Service and enter the connected hotspot/repeater ID (including its hotspot suffix, if used) and the KEY from its OPTIONS. This is not necessarily your radio's subscriber ID. An incorrect or missing key cannot authorize a command.

Choose TS1 or TS2 before a Dial command. Simplex hotspots normally use TS2.

Link
Link the selected slot's Dial-a-TG to the entered talkgroup.
Unlink
Disconnect Dial. A configured default can return through the normal timer.
Restore Dial default
Return to the slot's configured Dial default now, or disconnect if none is configured.
Reset non-Dial TG timers
Expire running conventional TG timers on that slot. This can also restore temporarily disconnected statics; it does not remove the static configuration or change Dial.
Announce status
Request a voice announcement on TG9 of the selected slot. It is not silent polling.
Reset peer connection
Disconnect the hotspot/repeater session so it can log in again. This is separate from restoring a Dial default.

RF voice on the selected slot blocks Dial commands. Existing timers, defaults and other slots remain under FreeDMR's normal rules. A scheduled announcement does not prove that your radio heard it.

Remember details keeps the ID and key in browser cookies for 30 days. Do not enable it on a shared device; use Forget details to clear it. Prefer HTTPS, particularly when remembering a key. If a command times out, check the result before sending it again: it may already have taken effect.

If the API is unavailable, ask the sysop to enable the appropriate private worker APIs. Self Service remains visible even when the backend is not configured.
